This is so intense! That look of deep concern you've given him, delivered so vividly through his eyes, makes him seem so...REAL! And the bird, which appears to be a raven, adds to the intrigue! It's really beautiful!
I remember this! Crow in Winter was one of the pieces that originally drew me in to watching you (though perhaps stalking is more appropriate given the quiet admiration of your work through the years). It's amazing to see the difference, and yet, have it be still so recognizable. Beautiful, even more so today.
I don't know yet. I'm going to be doing a number of pieces for this class and I probably won't dive deeper on any of them until I cover more ground.
Ref was provided by the teacher for this first one, so I'm probably going to put more of a personal touch on future assignments. We'll see. I wanted to add a portrait piece to my portfolio, so it's got some things going for it and some against it.
